The final-year students of the Department of Pharmacy had an insightful visit to the National Agricultural Research Centre on friday 28,feb. The students explored the Animal Sciences Division where officials elaborated on their vaccination development programs, also visited the National Herbarium of Pakistan, which houses over 500 conserved medicinal and aromatic plant species. This educational visit served as an excellent opportunity for students to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications, reinforcing their understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and agricultural research. A special thanks to Mr. Ali Hassan Khan (Scientific Officer, HRI, NARC) for his exceptional hospitality and support in making this visit both informative and enjoyable.

The seminar "A Drop of Hope – Blood Awareness Seminar & Camp," held on December 18, 2024, at Auditorium J - Block, AUIC, was a tremendous success. Organized by the Blood Donor Society of Abasyn University Islamabad , in collaboration with the Medicos Aid Society of Rawalpindi Medical University and the Department of Medical Lab Technology(AUIC), the event effectively raised awareness, promoted voluntary blood donation, and supported patients in need. Key activities, including free blood screening and donor registrations, played a pivotal role in the seminar's success, motivating participants to actively contribute to this noble cause.

Recreational and Farewell Trip

On December 6, 2024, the Department of Computing successfully organized a combined recreational and farewell trip with the theme “A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning,” providing a memorable experience for all participants. The event featured various activities aimed at relaxation, team bonding, and celebrating the achievements of departing members. Faculty and students actively engaged in the activities, creating lasting memories. Departing members and Faculty were honored with heartfelt titles, adding an emotional touch to the event. The trip ended on a positive note, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and fostering a sense of unity within the department.

Debate Competition organized by the Islamabad Traffic Police

December 7, 2024, students from Abasyn University actively participated in a Debate Competition organized by the Islamabad Traffic Police at the Chamber of Commerce, G-8. The event was centered around the theme of road safety, aiming to raise awareness about traffic rules and the importance of safe driving practices ,shields were presented to the university representatives, certificates of participation for the students were distributed. The event concluded with a high tea.

Abasyn University Islamabad Campus Signs MoU with Aadam Life Care Physiotherapy Center for Clinical Training

On May 30, 2024, Abasyn University Islamabad Campus (AUIC) and Aadam Life Care Physiotherapy Center (ALC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the clinical training of students from the Department of DPT, Rehabilitation, and Health Sciences. The agreement, which outlines mutual obligations and terms, was signed by Dr. M. Bashir Khan (Vice President, AUIC) and Dr. Maryam Kundi (Manager, ALC). The signing ceremony was also attended by Dr. Laila Jafri (Head of Department, Rehabilitation and Health Sciences), Dr. Zobia Naseem (Senior Lecturer, DPT), Dr. Salma Bibi (Senior Lecturer, DPT), and Dr. Ramsha (Lecturer, DPT). This collaboration aims to enhance the practical training and skill development of AUIC students in the field of physiotherapy.
