Clubs & Societies

Life at AUIC is not all about academics and study alone. We know that students need a respite from their tough study schedules. This is necessary to re-invigorate their energies and for overall holistic development of the participants. All that students have to do is choose an area of interest. List of the clubs and societies that are open to membership for all students are below. If you want to be part of a society or club click here for registration.

Sports Club

The AUIC Sports Club is a student body which organizes indoor and outdoor sports competitions for students. The club constitutes of a number of teams headed by the captains of respective teams. The sports events include competitions of cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, a number of indoor sports.

Adventure Club

The adventure club arranges recreational expeditions into various parts of the country for students, faculty, and alumni. The club offers a sojourn of adventure into the wild and scenic hikes, camping, and trekking activities. The students as members of the club are not only creating opportunities of exploration to the emerging destinations but also exposing their regional culture to the fraternity at AUIC.

Khaaka (Arts & Dramatic Club)

The club promotes and encourages students to showcase their artistic abilities through painting, sketching, drama, and mime competitions. The club plays a major role in encouraging students to participate in major university and national events such as cultural day, arts competitions, and drama competitions.

Events Club

The university is a place to discover yourself through a number curricular, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities. The events club is a student body that organizes major university events for student participation to boost their moral and help them acquire the organization and management skills required for their practical life. These events include a major annual welcome dinner involving all students of AUIC, special day events such as the mental health day, the teacher’s day, and other awareness campaigns.

Abasyn Media Club

Abasyn Media Club (AMC) is a student body which provides coverage to major university events including seminars, workshops, and extracurricular events organized by the university clubs and societies. The AMC highlights these activities to communicate them throughout the university and other relevant platforms outside of the university.

Business Club

The Abasyn Business Club (ABC) is a departmental student body of Management and Social Sciences department which promotes events and activities relevant the field of Business & Management, Psychology, English, and Mass Communication. The major events include case study competitions, the mental health day, declamation contest, visit to major industrial sites, and essay writing competitions.

Silver Ink(Literary Society)

The epitome of human civilization is to articulate your opinions in the most profound manner. The literary society holds debate competitions, declamation contests, writing and speech competitions in order to showcase the literary acumen of students. The society also promotes literature and literary events by holding relevant seminars and guest lectures.

Social Welfare Society

The AUIC Welfare Society is a student body that aims to help society and the students of Abasyn University through its societal contributions. The society holds awareness events for major social issues to promote ethical and civic behavior. The society has been instrumental in conducting blood donation activities and fee collection for needy students in order to fulfill its social responsibility. Such activities cultivate an ethical and moral behavior in students of the university.
